DropDownDeals - How to remove?

DropDownDeals is a browser extension related to Yontoo Layers Client platform. It usually comes into computer systems without user’s consent. One of the most popular ways of infiltration is installing the application bundled with other programs. This often happens with free programs. Quite often you can avoid adding programs like DropDownDeals simply by removing the check boxes marked by default if you install some program by yourself.

One of the first symptoms of the existence of DropDownDeals is annoying advertisements displayed out of nowhere. Once you click on them, the program redirects you to different websites for hotels, car rentals, travel agencies and so on. The purpose of it is to get some personal information form you, such as your browsing history, keywords you search for, favorite websites, etc. It can also be related to infecting with other malicious programs.

First of all you should avoid clicking on such messages that appear on your computer out of nowhere because they my redirect you to malicious websites and get your PC infected with serious viruses. Second, if you notice bunches of such messages disturbing your system activity, you have to remove DropDownDeals from your computer as soon as possible. Below we explain how to do that:

Go to Windows Start Menu and then to Control Panel > Add/Remove (“Programs & Features” in Vista/Windows 7) and look for any entries related to Yontoo Layers. Then click “Remove”.
