How to remove BlockDefense?
What is BlockDefense?
BlockDefense is a fake anti-spyware solution that fits nicely into the SaveDefense and TrustNinja family of weirdly-named rogues. Sneaking into systems by using trojans and system vulnerabilities, BlockDefense will start bombing the user’s PC with lots of alerts and popups, claiming that his PC is infected with parasites or is under attack by hackers. This is true – your PC is infected, however not by parasites that will be listed by this bogus anti-spyware. In most cases you will be able to close these popups only by downloading the BlockDefense scanner and remover and purchasing its “full version”.
Or so Block Defense authors want you to believe. It is a fake tool, and if you pay for it, you will get NOTHING. Blockdefense has no real Spyware definition database, and therefore cannot remove anything.
Blockdefense’s website is hosted in Ukraine, like so many rogue websites before it. The domain was registered personally, but the address is likely fake. It is funny, that BlockDefense posts news dating february 2009, when they were registered half a year latter – one more sign that the company is bogus.
Also, your credit card details will pass through the rogue payment system paysoftbillsolution.com (www.paysoftbillsolution.com). This page was registered on July 2009 and does not accept any new people that want process payments. Thus it is a system, designated by or related to owners of BlockDefense. It is created for single reason – to get as much money from you as possible. Do not pay them, and if you did – contact your bank ASAP.

Manual BlockDefense removal
Important Note: Although it is possible to manually remove BlockDefense, such activity can permanently damage your system if any mistakes are made in the process, as advanced spyware parasites are able to automatically repair themselves if not completely removed. Thus, manual spyware removal is recommended for experienced users only, such as IT specialists or highly qualified system administrators. For other users, we recommend using Spyware Doctor or other malware and spyware removal applications found on 2-viruses.com.

It is impossible to list all file names and locations of modern parasites. You can identify remaining parasites, other BlockDefense infected files and get help in BlockDefense removal by using free Spyware Doctor scanner. It comes with free real-time protection module that helps preventing BlockDefense and similar threats.
BlockDefense is classified as Rogue Anti-Spyware. After infecting a user’s system, it proceeds to scare its victim into buying the “product” by displaying fake security messages, stating that your computer is infected with spyware and only BlockDefense can help you to remove it after you download the trial version. As soon as the victim downloads BlockDefense trial version, it pretends to scan your computer and shows a grossly exaggerated amount of non-existent errors. Then, BlockDefense offers to buy the full version to fix these false errors. If the user agrees, BlockDefense does not only fix the errors, but it also takes the user’s money and may even install additional spyware into the victim’s computer.
Some Rogue Anti-Spyware, such as BlockDefense, may offer users to buy it after the victim clicks on a banner or a pop-up while surfing the internet. Usually, a Trojan is installed to a victim’s computer after clicking on the advertisement. It then proceeds to download or even install BlockDefense, which is another way for Rogue Anti-Spyware to spread itself.
Most of rogue Anti-Spyware, such as BlockDefense, is nearly impossible to remove manually.
