  1. the computer that has been attacked by the fake AVG was given to me by sister…she had avast anti protection…………i was trying to install REAL AVg………NEEDLESS TO SAY……i can do nothing on it! unprotected also as it removed Avast………….
    It will not lwt me do anthing…….just all the warning signs etc.
    I have alot of info i need and afraid too loose it. I an not afford to purchase or fix it……………Please help! I love AVG……..used it for many years……..

    There is fake software with the same name as legitimate one. You can confirm that in majority of forums that deal with PC support.
