How to remove AntiVirProtect?

What is AntiVirProtect?

AntiVirProtect is a rogue anti-spyware parasite and a clone of SpyShredder, which is essentially an internet user scamming machine. Its main purpose is to get you scared enough to buy it and give out your credit card into as well. This parasite may seriously damage your system security as it can install additional malware into your PC.

The main ways of AntiVirProtect infection are trojans and browser security exploits. Once it installs itself onto your system, AntiVirProtect starts to flood you with numerous pop-up messages that indicate your system as contaminated with malware. This is, of course, a completely fallacious statement, but the point of this disinformation is to create a pretext for the user to buy the fake spyware remover.

For better or worse, AntiVirProtect features a quite legitimate-looking and colorful website without too much grammar mistakes and false testimonials. However, once you look into their payment system, thing become a bit clearer. These guys are operating under SoftPayDirect, a rogue internet payment processing system known to be used by numerous other rogues, such as SpyShredder and WinSpyKiller.

We strongly recommend removing AntiVirProtect if you have it.

AntiVirProtect is classified as Rogue Anti-Spyware. After infecting a user’s system, it proceeds to scare its victim into buying the “product” by displaying fake security messages, stating that your computer is infected with spyware and only AntiVirProtect can help you to remove it after you download the trial version. As soon as the victim downloads AntiVirProtect trial version, it pretends to scan your computer and shows a grossly exaggerated amount of non-existent errors. Then, AntiVirProtect offers to buy the full version to fix these false errors. If the user agrees, AntiVirProtect does not only fix the errors, but it also takes the user’s money and may even install additional spyware into the victim’s computer.
