22find.com is a browser hijacker that targets Internet Explorer, Google Chrome of Mozilla Firefox browsers. It reaches systems through spam email attachments or comes bundled with some free software. - Do following: On IE8-9 choose Manage Search providers, On ie7 click change search defaults
- Remove 22find.com from the list
On Firefox :
- Enter “about:config” in url bar. This will open settings page
- Type “Keyword.url” in the search box. Right click it & reset it.
- Type “browser.search.defaultengine” in the search box. Right click it & reset it.
- Type “browser.search.selectedengine” in the search box. Right click it & reset it.
- Search for ‘browser.newtab.url’. Right-click and reset. This will make sure that the search page won’t launch on each new tab.
On Google Chrome:
- Click 3 horizontal lines icon on browser toolbar
- Select Settings
- Select Basics ->Manage Search engines
- Remove unnecessary search engines from list
- Go back to settings. On Startup choose open blank page ( you can remove undesired pages from the set pages link too).
TopRemove shortcut hijack (all browsers) (optional): If your browser opens 22find.com redirect page on startup only, try this:
- Right click on your browser icon. Choose Properties;
- Open Short cut tab;
- Delete 22find.com redirect part from target field.

I’ve tried all the settings to remove 22 from IE, FF and GC but doesnt seem to be working.
what should i do further
Pl: Scan for malware with hitman pro or spyhunter, uninstall programs you installed in the last days from control panel – instructions should work if there is not process blocking that.

i had the 22find virus and i could not find a way to get rid of it so i completely restored my computer to factory settings. im not saying to do this, but i am saying that setting ur computer to back to factory settings works
