Users of Norton Antivirus must be very cautious about updating their antivirus program. If you received an email from Norton which informs you about extending your subscription, beware that it might be a trick of cyber criminals.
According to Security-Shell, Norton Update Center poses risk to cross-site scripting (a type of security vulnerability), redirects and html injections. Cyber criminals use this vulnerability to redirect to malicious websites which infect computers with spyware. Later this can be a cause of revealing you private data.
