Mozilla Firefox "about:blank" bug fixed
July 28th, 2007
Mozilla Firefox fixed the "about: blank" security vulnerability, which allowed a remote user to create HTML that, when loaded by the target user, will execute arbitrary code on the target user’s system. The bug was removed with the 2.0.0.6 version. If your Mozilla Firefox version is below 2.0.0.6, it is recommended to update your browser to this version for maximum security.
