Hackers threaten the Church of Scientology

The infamous hacker group "Anonymous" issued a proclamation earlier this week, stating that it plans to destroy Scientology. Their Youtube video contains the "Message to Scientology", on which a synthesized voice issues threats to the sect while a creepy electronic tune is playing in the background. The "message" addresses the "leaders of scientology", and promises to carry attacks against the COS in the nearest future, with one massive denial of service attack already having briefly shut down their official website.

Also, a pack of "secret documents of Scientology" .pdf files has surfaced in the Web, containing what seems to be the documentation the sect members pay insane amounts of money for just to take a glance into L. Ron Hubbard's science fiction material. As "Anonymous" say, knowledge is free". See the quotes from the video below:

"Hello, Scientology. We are Anonymous. Over the years, we have been watching you. Your campaigns of misinformation; suppression of dissent; your litigious nature, all of these things have caught our eye."

"For the good of your followers, for the good of mankind--for the laughs--we shall expel you from the Internet and systematically dismantle the Church of Scientology in its present form. We acknowledge you as a serious opponent, and we are prepared for a long, long campaign."

"You have nowhere to hide, because we are everywhere. You will find no recourse in attack, because for each of us that falls, 10 more will take his place."

Seems like the guys from "Anonymous" might be serious. Time will tell. While we do not support illegal internet activity, this will be one of those hacker campaigns we watch with joy and enthusiasm, for obvious reasons.
