Chinese hackers getting more aggressive

September 4th, 2007

With Germany’s government computer networks hacked merely a week ago, clues show that Chinese cyber-spies are probing US military systems, MSNBC writes. Although there is no hard evidence that Pentagon’s unclassified networks were infiltrated by government-sponsored Chinese, US authorities believe that recent hacking attempts clearly show the shadow of communist agenda.

Even though no government systems have been sabotaged yet, officials try to maximize their security systems against possible future sabotage attempts. As today’s military becomes more and more technologically dependent, possibilities of a new doctrine of cyber-warfare may emerge in the future. However, this is yet to be observed, and all that can be done now is to prepare the security systems against potential threats.
